What does this genealogy software?

You can have access in this section to members' family trees. They remain their property and can only be managed by them.
But when you enter this topic, you are by default on the H.G.M. base.
At the beginning, it included the genealogical data entrusted by our members and was little by little. little extended by integrating genealogies of famous Minervois characters or data from research or various surveys.

This base is collaborative. The data contained therein are made freely available to all and can not be withdrawn, only modified if necessary.
It focuses on the Minervois (Aude, Hérault and Tarn) and when you find external data, it is always related to it.
All data could not be verified, so there may be errors of dates or place, especially as an error of input or copy is still possible. If you have any comments or additions, do not hesitate to let us know.
In general, and to the extent possible, the spellings of names (and sometimes of first names) have been harmonized to eliminate potential duplicates and to facilitate search. To help you, the "advanced search" allows you an approximation (looks like, starts with, contains).

The estimated or calculated dates take into account a minimum age of 15 for a woman and 19 for a man, at the time of marriage or the birth of a first child, or the age at death. it can be very far from reality, especially when elderly people are declared by neighbors. To take therefore with precaution.
In the interest of confidentiality, all dates after 1950 (with very few exceptions) are obscured, but the places may remain to facilitate your personal research.

Sources are missing for all old data. During the last update from our external file, they were only partially transferred.
From now on, the seizure is done directly online and from day to day, they will be, as far as possible, systematically added.
You too, will read the registers (parish, civil status, census, military documents ...), there is no need to move or write, a lot of official data are online, including departmental archives. There are many other details.

And if you do not find your ancestors, it's because none of your "cousins" have contributed yet, so be the first to do so. Similarly, if you are from an additional person in a sibling of this base, the goal is to connect the maximum number of people with those already there. All cousins!

Do not just copy, advance the whole by sending us your additional data, even if they seem minimal. Once integrated, they will also be able to advance someone else, who can bring a plus, and so on ... It's a collaborative basis, you too can participate.
Similarly if you have made surveys on the Minervois or if you have time to do so, your help will be valuable, contact HGM.
